| 印度尼西亚钢铁工业起步较晚，基础薄弱，虽然钢产量有较大增长，但仍不能满足国内需求。印尼钢铁产业最主要的问题是产品缺乏竞争力，但鉴于印尼是一个能源丰富的国家，油气、煤炭资源均很丰富，也有较多的铁、锰、铬、镍等矿藏，这是发展钢铁工业很好的基础条件。东盟自由贸易区协定有效减轻了东盟国家之间钢铁业的贸易壁垒，加上印尼处在经济发展的初级阶段，人均钢材消费量处于较低水平，因此，钢铁业未来增长潜力巨大。 |

| Increased steel production can not meet the domestic demand in Indonesia because of its weak basis. Uncompetitive Indonesian steel products is the major problem, however, Indonesia is a country that is rich in gas and oil, coal resources and some other minerals, such as iron, manganese, chromium, nickel, this is a good basis for the development of steel industry. Reduction of the trade barriers of steel industry among ASEAN countries and low domestic consumption bring a great potential for Indonesian steel industry. |
