| Public funding for research in the UK is provided through the double supporting system which combines stable funding with competitive funding. This paper introduces the overall situation of UK research funding; the funding proportion and support target for both of stable funding and competitive funding; the management model for stable research funding, including assessment and funding allocation methods; and it also analyzes the role of stable funding. |
